Is it OK to move while I485 pending with in VSC

My I-485 is in process at VSC, PD 6/98 EB3, ND 2/00. I am at present in Northern Virginia.
My question is, is it OK to move to Boston - as long as I work for the same company (but a different client)? My attorney says it is legally OK, as long as I come back to the previous position once I get the GC.

Folks, anybody with similar experience? And also does the address change affect the process? Thanks

Your attorney is correct with respect to your GC committment based on your Labor Certification and if you are on EAD you can go and work for anyone anywhere. Working for the same company in another Metropolitan Statistical Area is OK.
However, if you are on H-1B, then you need to file an amendment of I-129 indicating change in location. You are better off getting an EAD and going to Boston than waiting for approval of amendment on H-1b
