Is it OK to legally get married on a temporary I-551?

Hi everyone,
I am on a temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residency for 1 year, and am in the US. My category is F11 (Unmarried Son or Daughter of U.S. Citizen).

I would like to legally marry my fiance, a US citizen. Is that OK? I know the official green card will arrive in about 3 months? (so I have been told).

Thank you =).

There are no issues you in "legally" marrying ... especially since you will not be providing any immigration benefits to anyone, actually the reverse if you wanted to.

Hi
Why not? Go ahead and prepare for wedding ceremony since you are already 100% a LPR even if you do not have the physical GC in hand. I mean if your marriage takes place after the approval of I-485 or landind on immigrant visa.
