Is it ok to delay FP to add spouse?

I wrote to the Finger Printing office asking to reschedule. My orig date was Nov 3. I haven\'t received a new date yet from Philly. I plan to go to India
   next week. I don\'t mind the 485 being delayed a little by my postponement as I plan to marry and add spouse before the approval.

   1. Should I be worried about not having got a new date yet?
   2. Is it ok to postpone again? I may have to if I am not here.
   3. Are there any other ways of delaying the approval? I-485 RD:May1,2001, ND July16,2001

   Would greatly appreciate any response. This is crucial to me.
