I know for revalidation in St. Louis, your previous H1B visa stamp should have a remaining validity of not more than 60 days or it should not be expired more than a year. Is this the same in case someone is going to Canada for getting H1-B visa. My H1B stamp from previous employer is still valid for 4 more months can I go to Canada to get a new H1 stamp based on the I-797 on my new employer\'s name?

Thanks.

you can get it in Canada...

That rule is only at the visa office in US. You can go ahead and get your visa stamped in Canada even now.
