Is it OK to apply for Candian PR in I-485 stage ?

Dear Friends,
Since I-485 processing is taking forever, I am thinking of
applying for Candian permanent residence as a backup.
Is it legal to do this, since I am already on EAD/AP ? Can
BCIS have problem with this ?
Please help.

Hello, No really, canadaian dont care about if you residence is pending or approved. you have to have a status in US no matter even its through Asylum.....

However..

Be careful about the interview. I talked to my lawyer a couple of years back and she mentioned the canadian offices are aware of ppl using Canada as a revolving door. So they will grill you in the interview. It all depends how good you are in convincing the authorities. Good luck.
 
Bic_1702, your reply says that there is no conflict of interest.
But, doesn't applying for PR in canada conflicts with I-485
filing due to the reason that I-485 is filed for a future employment
to be taken in US ?
