Is it OK if a person(staying in US) wants to sponsor his relative(staying in a different country) to study in US? Will this create a problem in getting a F-1 visa or a job after finishing the studies? The rumor is that if an international student is sponsored by a relative living in US, the INS thinks that there is a possibility that the person will settle in US and this creates a problem in getting a visa. IS this true?
