Hi,

I got the following message from USCIS.

Current Status:

On July 13, 2006, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in LINCOLN, NE for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in LINCOLN, NE will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case.

Today i saw one LUD. Is it the standard message or they are going to do something with my I-485? Please shed some light on this. See below my signature.

Please respond. My curiosity is killing me.

if your curiosity is killing you, you'd better find out by calling National Service hot line :D

From what I see your case is being processed by having it transferred to your local office for interview and/or RFE or fast process, I guess

can you please tell me what is the Nation service hot line (is it 1-800 #) or someother No.? I am confused the way the processing center is dealing with. Nebraska is not my place rather I live in New Jersey. without going through my EB-1A I-140 why would NSC go through my I-485 filed alongwith EB-2NIW in sept. 2005. do you think there is a positive sign on my I-140 petition (EB-1A)?

what i understood from USCIS website is that which ever center is adjudicating I-140 the same center will adjudicate I-485 too. Now my question is why would VSC will transfer my I-485 file to NSC when I-140 is approved by VSC. please shed some light on this.

yes, it's 1-800 number.

Not necessarily, just like my case I-140 was approved in VSC and case was then transferred to local office for I-485.

NSC is not a local district office but rather a service center. My case was xferred to NYC, not NC

I know that NSC is a service center. when your file was transferred what message you got through email from USCIS?

nothing. I am still wondering why it never shows anything even if my case was transferred back in Oct. 2003. Online status shows nothing except for FP and address change, because once your file was in local, it goes by A#, not EAC#. Even if my case was approved, status still shows address change request info.
