My cousin filed her N400 after fulfilling 5 years of continuous residency. Because she moved from NY to MA right after filing the original 400, she just now (3+ years later) has been called for an interview. About 8 months after filing the 400, she went back to visit family and for a variety of family reasons has not been living in the US. She has maintained her GC status by coming once or twice a year. What are her chances in the interview? Will the fact that she has not been living here for the past 3 years even though she satisfactorily fulfilled the original requirements work against her? Even though the long wait for the interview was because they never transferred her application?
