Hi,

Is it mandatory to have the previous visa stamped in home country to obtain new Visa revalidation from Mexico /Canada. My visa originally issued at UK (I am from India).

Thanks

did you have any problems getting your initial H1 stamped in the UK, cos I'm likely to be working in the UK around the time I'll need to have my initial H1 stamped and am concerned that I may be asked to go back to my home country for stamping.

I do not have any problems when I was getting my initial visa from UK. Everythnig was done by post.

Visa Stamping

could any one can answer this for me? Thanks

Hi Selvam,

As far as I know there is no written rule of that kind. I had my first stamping in Canada and the second one in the country of origin (India). I could have gone to Canada but due to personal reasons I had to go to India.

You should be fine going to Canada for stamping and hope you get it cleared quickly

Further info, drop a line in the forum

Hi,

Last two times (2003, 2004) I revalidated my Visa from Washington, USA itself by mail and before that I revalidated my visa in 2001 & 1999 in India.

My question to all of you successful candidate

Am I eligible to get my 9th year visa stamped from Mexico (either Tijuana or Nogales)?

I read the somewhere that you have to have a visa issued either in your home country or some border post in last 5 years?

I am sure there are some candidates with similar situation like mine.

Please do reply.
Thanks,
Vivek
