Is it helpful to contact Senators for speeding up security checkup? and How??!!

Didn't help me personally. I tried Congressman Honda.

My case has been in Security Check for a while and I tried to get their help but the answer that I got was "Your case is in Security Check" duhhh...

Essentially no new info.

But I'd say still try it...

First of all, what is your WAC?

Mine is WAC02-046. ND Nov. 21, 2001 !!!

I contacted congressman Lewis. His assistant filed what she called a Congressional Unit Inquiry on my case. The reply she got back was that my case was in secuirty check by FBI, CIA etc. They will check all the places I have been to in home country, job I held, etc. They will also do name check and finger print check. Depend on how common my name is, it could be a time consuming process. If there is a "hit", they will match date of birth to further identify the individual. I heard it could take 18 month to complete the process.

I know I am the victim of this bull shit. Just pure bad luck. People from my country got approved left and right, but I got caught in this crap. God knows I didn't do anything bad. He will lead me through this dark path.

Fortunately I have been buying properties these years, the southern California real estate market has really help me forget about all the misfortunate I have in the immigration process. I am too busy managing tenants and buy more. My goal is to have 15 properties free and clear, so I can retire on them. I can't wait to have freedom to control my own time.

So get busy on other things, green card will come.

So far no help. Sent 2 faxes (with signed authorization form) and make numerous calls to Senator Feinstein office in SF. Here are details.

Almost 4 weeks after I sent first fax, I called the office for the status. They asked me to resend a fax. Sent second fax, and after follow-up phone call two weeks later got snail mail from Senator's office, saying that they made and inquiry on my case, and I should wait 6-8 weeks to get a response.

Two weeks passed since I received that letter. No news...

In the meantime, two weeks ago, my lawyer notified me that according to the status they received from CSC (I am not sure how they did inquiry) my case passed name check and currently with an officer. RFE - done, 2FP - done, name check - done. What else do they need?
