Hi guys,

I changed my visa status from F1 to H1B within US. So I only have expired F1 visa stamp on my passport and I-94 for F1 visa. In this case. may I use the I-94 card and H1B approval notice for re-entering US after landing Canada?

Thanks.

Under the process of Automatic Visa Revalidation, most F-1 Student Visa holders can return to the US from Canada on an expired visa stamp, provided that their stay in Canada is no longer than 30 days. Citizens of Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Sudan, North Korea, and Cuba are not eligible for Automatic Visa Revalidation. These F-1 Student Visa holders will need to apply for a new visa stamp at a United States consulate or embassy if their visa stamp will be expired upon re-entry to the US.

You will also need a valid I-20 form for travel to Canada.
