Is it compulsory to file I-824(Affidavit of support)

Hi ,

  Is it compulsory to file I-824(Affidavit of support) for the dependent (spouse) along with their I-485 if we are filing in category of EB(employment based). Did any done it. Is it necessary. My lawyer says no. where as my friend has submitted thro\' another lawyer.

Yes, someone please post their experience...

My lawyer said my wife and daughter do not
need them as my dependents. I filed I485
thru EB too.

Bank Statements and paystubs will do. We have
an interview appointment next week at Baltimore.
