Is it advisable to do biometrics as well?

If your FP notice has code 1 not code 3, is it advisable to ask CIS to do biometrics as well when you go to do FP in case they may ask you to do it latter? FP is for FBI? What is the purpose of biometrics?
 
They will do only that is mentioned in your FP notice. Unfortunately you don't have a choice to get Biometrics done when your FP notice says code 1
