Is it a problem - Spouse's EAC# < Main Appicant's?

TooMuchStress

Is there anyone having this same issue? I just realized that my spouse's EAC# is smaller than mine(as main appicant). Will it mean that VSC had mistaken who's the main applicant in my cases.

Please advise!

I don't think it is going to be the problem. I have the same situation. My wife's EAC # is < mine.

Don't Take too much Stress...........

Thank you for your reply, HAcharya.

I actually never received the I485 receipts. I got the EAC# by calling IIO. Is there any information on the receipts stating if your are a main applicant or a dependent?

Don't worry...

TooMuchStress (bad for health),

Even my wife's EAC is earlier than mine.

For the main applicant, the section part says,
“Adjustment as direct beneficiary of immigrant petition”.

For dependent, the section part says,
“Derivative adjustment”.

Hope this will reduce some of your stress ! ;)

A#s are in the right sequence

After my lawyer kept screwing up my case, by too much delay in every step, by send my case to wrong place, by chasing INS up to try to find the lost case, and had to re-apply I485, and by watching INS slowing down, and my delay of time is causing double/tripple time to catch up, how can my nerves not suffering from too much stress?

usually, it doesn't matter for receipt #, and maybe so for A#. but if in future someone question why dependent got GC earlier than primary according to A#, it not easy to explain because this scenario happen very few. if A# is in the right sequence, no problem

My Receipt# size (13 characters) is same as my wife receipt#, though she is my dependent, as I'm the primary applicant. Even our A# size is same. Is that unusual?
