Is interim EAD like EAD card

Hi

Is interim ead is like the orginal EAD or it is just a paper document authorizing the extended validity

Anybody who got interim EAD, please let me know How the Interim EAD looks like, is it like the orginal EAD or is it a paper document showing the extended validity

Reason i am asking is the Officer in my local INS office asked me to apply for interim EAd after 90 days, then she was saying they then have to schedule a date for me to get the interim EAD.

My EAD expires on Dec 21st and they have asked me to come on Dec 19th when I cross 90 days

Any help appreciated

The card I got yesterday looks just like the one I had before. Only difference is it is valid only for 8 months (Memphis INS)
 
Satya, did they ask u to bring Photograph or INS took you picture for the interim EAD.

I was told to just bring filled EAD application on Dec 19th, and she said phot is not required
