Is I-797 an I-485 approval?

I have an AP application pending for 5 months. I obtained the below information from infopass: AP was approved in early Aug. and then this action was cancelled after 20 days in late Aug. The IO in local office said this case remained in a pending status after the action was cancelled. Last week, online massage changed to "this case was reopened/reconsidered....and I-797was mailed". What is I-797? Does this have anything to do with pending I-485?

I-797 is a notice of action and is used with all cases filed with USCIS.

Does this mean my I-131 was not approved because An I-131 approval is L-512L? So this -797 is just a notice of reopen action, am I right?

I guess when you get an online message with your AP case number, it is related with your AP.
