Is I-134 necessary?

Hi all,
My sister-in-law and her husband are planning a 3-week visit in July 2005. This is purely for tourism purposes.
We understand that we will need to provide employment letters, and copies of bank statements etc. to prove our ability to support them while they are here.
My questions are
a)Do we need to file a I-134 if we provide the documentation stated above?
b)Do we necessarily have to fill in all the information on the I-134 (i.e.every detail of our finances) or just enough to show that we can support them?

We have previously sponsored both of our parents who currently hold 10-yr multiple entry visas and we never filled out I-134s for anybody.
Thanks a lot!

Two way they can claim,

2. They will support themselves (finiancial) , then just ur invitation letter is enough. and they will provide their bank+finiancial doc from their country to support their claim.

2. The US relative is spnsering/supporting, it mean u are taking responsibilities for finiancial support by filing 134 and will comply the 134 requirement as instructed.

Good Luck

Can some body please let me know what to write foo question no 1 in I-134 form. I am an H-1 holder. Immihelp.com says to write below option 'd' as H1 ( temporary worker ) with visa status ( control number ). My Visa is expired but i have a valid renewed H-1 . Is it ok to write the control number from my recent VISA stamp which is expired.

Please some body respond ASAP.

write the current status, I wrote pending 485.
if u like to write more detail u can, like cont'no , just attatch the copy that shows ur apprved recent visa and ur status.

Good Luck
