Is I-130 approval notice enough to stay in US legally?

My parents got their green card in 1998, and thus applied I-130 for me (child over 21). It got approved, but I'm still waiting for a visa number. Right now, I'm working in a company using H-1, but if I somehow get laid off, am I still legal to stay in US with my I-130 approval notice? Thanks.

No, you need to be eligible for and apply for adjustment of status I-485 to continue to stay here legally. Your visa number needs to be current for applying for I-485.
You will need to maintain a legal status until your are able to file I-485.

i 130 , "no good man'

I 130 is of no good man. If you have to stay here then you have to maintain a status F,H etc.Otherwise it takes some999 days for brother petition and 10 years whereby an employer who will sack you can do the same in one year. This law stinks. They say blood is thicker then money but here it is diferent. Then they speak of family unification act.Well hope something to change soon .
