Is H1B still valid with old company?

Hi All,
If a person leaves his company and new company files H1B transfer with USCIS. After working with new employer for a month and old employer wanted him back. Can he join old company and work on H1B he had with them?If yes what about new H1B which is underprocess and gets approved in couple of months? Please help.

The H-1B with the old company is still valid as long as the employer has not canceled it.

The H-1B with the new employer will continue if the employer wishes it to. Else- the employer has an option to close the case as the applicant quits the job.
