Guys/Gals,

Please advise.....

Today I received another email from USCIS saying we mailed you the cards. Do I still need to go to local USCIS office and get my passport stamped.

Btw I dont have any plans of travelling outside the country for another couple of months. I am assuming by then I should be the actual cards :)- to my hand.

Thanks in Advance

If you won't be leaving the country in the next few weeks, then you don't need the stamp. You'll get the card in the next weeks, most likely.

I got a email on 06/06 saying that the notice welcoming the new permanent resident has been mailed but I still didnot get the email notifying the card has been mailed. Do I need to get my passport stamped if I didnot receive the card sent email?

Thanks

Not unless you already have travel arrangements in the next few weeks. When my gc was approved last month, I got the "card ordered" the day after I got the "approved" email.

My guess is that the facility that produces the green cards is getting backed up and it might take a few days to get the "card ordered" email. Be patient. If you haven't gotten the email in say 2-3 weeks, I'd give the USCIS a call and see what's up.
