Is G-28 needed for self filing I-485?

Hi,

My husband filed I-485 in Nov on his own based on the previous company's approved I-140. We have recd I-485 receipts .
AT that time , we didn't file G-28 form.
Is it necessary to submit G-28 form or by default all the correspondence from BCIS will come directly to us ?
Can we file now ?

If you are not represented by attorney you do not need to send G-28. All correspondence will come directly to you.
