Is French Language must?

Hi,

I appled for canadian immigration 2 years ago.As per news rules they sent me new application forms.If i put my french language ability as medium,I will be eligible. Can I go ahead and do that & I will learn some bascis. Do you think they will communicate with me in French language in the interview & will it affect on my case.

Well, they could if they wanted to , just to test that you know "French" as you are claiming on the form

I remember reading in the application form that language skills will not be tested. I am not sure if its true still.

I read it too.But some canadian lawyer's websites says that interviewers will test the language ability.we'll see what will happen.
