Is EB-1 really getting more difficult now?

After talking to several lawyers, I got a feeling that the INS is tightening the Eb-1/NIW cases. They all say that my case is not so optimistic. Here is my qualifications:

1. Ph.D. in 2000
2. Permanent job in a private company, working on defense project (DARPA)
3. 4 journal publications, 5 conference papers
4. 1 journal reviewer
5. Not sure about the number of citation
6. Might be able to get recommendation letters from Naval Research Lab, DARPA reviewer, and NIH, besides the commom ones.

Can anyone tell me if my case is a possible one?

what are u waiting for?

u never know if u do not give it a try. In your case, at least NIW is feasible. I graduated last april and got approved through NIW in just 6 months, including a REF

Yes--but what do you lose to try?

VSC is toughest and TSC is relatively easier.

Try NIW

I agree with lesspain; VSC is toughest; the chance for EB1 is very small; but there is a chance for NIW.
