Is early FP worthdoing? What is further Sytem Check?

Dear friends,

Could you please post whether early FP is worthdoing? In my case it did not materialize though. I had a fax inquiry to CSC and yesterday I got an replay telling me this:
(mark on Other

"your I-485 is currently under the further system check. We will send you final decision when the decision has been made."

Did any body happen to have similar situation? Please help.

don't think it has anything to do with early FP. The reply is cryptic as to the meaning of "system check".
 
It does not harm if you show up early and try to get it done as early as possible. But don't die for it, because the actual processing (I mean an officer is actively working on it) does not depend on speed/schedule of FP.

Next fax:
"Our maintenance person was testing our fax machines. If you received any fax from USCIS please disregard that".

My apologies... I misread ur statement. I think what u meant to say is... I faxed an inquiry sveral days ago. Yesterday I got a reply.
 
Still did not get answer for System Check

Just to make it clear,

Fax was sent on 5/2/04
They drafted letter on 5/14/04
I got the reply letter on 5/20/04

I could not understand what is "Further System Check"?
