Is EAD card enough? or to carry approval notices

For using EAD, is it enough if we show the EAD card or should I have to show both approval notice and EAD card? My present employer is small firm and does not know everything about immigration issues. I don't have the approval notice with me and they had sent to the lawyer.
 
The card is all you need. You will have to update your I-9 form (the employer holds on to these) and provide the employer with a photocopy of your card. You definitely do not need to provide your employer with the approval notice.
