Is declaring the car necessary?

Hello!

I plan to land as immigrant in a few days and am planning to travel in my car and return to the US in a week's time.My question is :

1) Do I have to declare my car at customs while landing?

2) If yes, do I need to have the title in posession?I still have an outstanding loan against my car and I believe my lender has the title.

3) If no, can I declare the same car in 'goods to follow' list ?

If you declare the car in the "goods to follow" list then you can import it in canada without paying GST and PST .
 
If you are coming back to US rent a car and put your car in goods to follow list.
Check previous posts about that.
