Is CP possible for AC-140 substitution.

Folks,

My I-140 which used substituted labor certification was approved.
Now my immigration representtative says I can only go for
I-485 which makes no sense as I wanted to do CP only. Does
anyone know why they would advise to go for AOS. immigration representtative says CP is not an option for me. which seems
to me a lie as I-140 approval notice says they have sent
my case to NVC for processing.

While on the subject does anyone know the estimated time
difference between CP and 485.

AOS or CP

Consider the backlog of AOS at the moment, it would be wise to opt for CP if you have the choice.
I am using substitute LC for my I-140 as well, and many people I know that have been appoved.
There's must be a hidden agenda for suggesting AOS, instead of CP. I followed my attorney's advice and I am still here waiting in AOS after 13 months.
