Hi, folks, just wondering if I can bring my cell into the federal building in downtown mahattan for interview, or do they provide some kind of storage boxes for phones temporarily? The field office where I did finger print didn't allow that even we could turn off the phone. We'll get there by subway so that leaving phones inside car is not an option. Anyone has recent experience with downtown office?

Thanks in advance.

Leave it at work, home. As far as I know no phones allowed in ASCs or DOs. Specially no phones with a camera.

Thanks for the heads up. I have finger print scheduled for tomorrow and was thinking to carry the phone with me but shut it off, especially because it has a camera. I'll leave it in my car.

The only phones they allow are iPhones, because they are way too cool

- Posted from my iPhone - ;)

ps: Just kidding

Heh, I have a BlackBerry which I think it's better. Anyway, just to give my impression after doing the FP. I saw lot's of signs about cell phones, cameras and other recording devices not being allowed but then others would just say to shut off the cell phone. I saw some people playing on the cell phones and others even talking. The guy that was talking on the phone was told to shut it off but was not removed from the premises.
