Is B2 still valid after changing status?

I have a 10-year multiple entry visitor visa in my passport but I don't know if it's still valid. I entered the US on this visa in June 2004 and was allowed to stay for 6 months. Before that time, I got married to my fiance who was an international student in the US at that time and after wedding we decided to change my status to F2 (F1 dependant). INS approved our application. My husband finished his studies and OPT and we left USA before the expiration of our visas.

Now my question is, after I changed the status from B2 to F2 in the US, is my B2 still valid for future entries to the USA or do I have to apply for a new B2 visitor visa?

Thanks for any information,
Aleks

waitin too long, thanks!!! Ok, I know you are not an attorney, but let me tell you my story. We entered the US in 2002 on B1/B2. We extended status for 6 more months, then we changes status to F-1 and F-2 for my husband and kids. My father in law died, my husband went back home with F-s STATUS, but no visa on passport. We have SEVIS record an all. His B1/B2 is valid unitl 2007, and has not been cancelled, but we have not applied for visa stamp in our country, just here. CAn he re enter as B1/B2? I need him back... :(

His B visa is null because of his new status. He may try to use it but that may cause problems at POE. It would be better to go and get his passport stamped.
