Is 9089 required for EB2-NIW

My lawyer told me that the regulation requires to file 9089 for EB2-NIW. Is it true?

My employer is not sponsoring me and I am doing self-petition.

Can someone help me?

imli,

I do recall that my lawyer told me that I need to mention my proposed employment. I forget what ETA form it was, but I was surprised that this was required although technically this is a sel-petition that gernerally requires no current or active employment. What I did is that I got a letter for a proposed post doc discussing, being the proposed employment...

Right now I am employed full-time, but not as a post-doc. This full time employment of mine is not what I wrote back then in that ETA form when I submitted, through a lawyer, my EB2-NIW petition.

Maybe other forum members can discuss and share their experiences and give you more helpful comments.

Thank you so much JerIst and stranger70 for your reply.
I will see if other members have anything to comment.

Hello

I see a lot of people filing EB2-NIW I-140.

Are you all aplying for NIW-physicians category?
If not (reseachers), then who certifies on your behalf that your work is in National Interest.

Btw ETA 9089 is needed in multiple sets for the petition.

Good point. Any Answer?

Why not EB-1

If all those who file for EB2-NIW (researchers self petitioning for waiver of labor...) then why then they all just file in EB-1 extraordinary etc etc.

Is EB2-NIW any easier to get into than EB1- extraordinary thing?

Btw I am a NIW physician (its different category for physicians) and our employer certifies that the work is in national interest (as I am serving those wounded in war)
