Hi

I am planning to apply for ITIN for my parents. They are here for 4 months in 2005. I have to file the taxes now. As i am on H1 is that possible ?

Please anyone help me on this. i appreciate your info.

Yes..

You can always do that.. You have to fill W7 form which can be obtained from IRS Gov website. You need to get signature from parents in the form and notarize thier copy of passports along with the form, you need to send the form to ITIN Unit, IRS, PO 447, Bensalem, PA -19020 address.
