Invoking AC21. Form I-9 related question

Hello All,

My I-485 receipt date is 09/18/02. I am currently on my second EAD which is valid thru 01/09/05. I have also applied a third extension in April-04 and expecting this pretty soon which will have the expiration date of 01/08/06. But I currently don't have this with me.

I am planning to change jobs in August-04 and I was wondering
if my EAD which will expire on 01/09/05 would be a sufficient to exhibit my ability to work in the United States?
Would the employer point out the fact that my current EAD is expiring in Jan-05? I did read on the form I-9 that an employer can't deny employment based purely on the expiration of an INS work authorization document.
The SSN card that I currently has "Valid for work only with INS authorization" on the face of it. Is this in a combination with the EAD sufficient to satisfy my prospective employer.

Anybody who have changed jobs using AC21, please share your experience in filling the form I-9. Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

This should not be an issue at all. Your employer has to accept. If they have hired the immigrant employees they must be having some idea about the process. If they are willing learn you may need to educate them .
