Hi everyone,

My wife and I are waiting for AOS (ND 12th Aug, 99). My wife\'s
parents are planning to visit US in Oct. Do we need any documents
other than specified at this site:

http://www.kolhapur.net/visa.html#docuprep

Further, in I-134 (affidivit of support form) what should we check/
tick our status as(it only has Citizenship, lawfully admitted
permanent resident etc.)? Our current EAD expires on Oct 11th,
however we already have the EAD renewal approved from VSC.
I appreciate any answers!

Regards,
Lekhak.

Affidavit of support is only for citizens and permanent residents only. You can just send a letter of support along with employmen letter and bank statement.
"This is not a legal advise, do not construe as one".

You have to fill affidavit of support (I-134). I was also in the
same situation when I planned to send my mother-in-law for the
visa in American Embassy in India. At that time I was also
waiting for my I-485 approval to come. I did not check in that
box and I just wrote filed Adjustment of Status application with
INS (I-485) to adjust my status to Permanent Resident. However I became permanent resident quite recently. My mother-in-law
got her visa aso. So I guess by filling I-134 you are ensuring
the U.S. govt that you will support them and it will act as a strong
evidence. It won\'t harm you anyway. This is my opinion.
Good Luck!.

You have to fill I-134 form and notorize it with a notary. (usually your bank will have a notary). You can write "Applicant to adjust Status" in the status column. I am also the in the same boat I send papers for my In-laws and they got 10 years multiple entry visa!!.

Goto www.immihelp.com and follow the page under visitors visa. They have pretty good explanation of what you need to send for a visitor visa.
Good luck ...

Have you done this?

Hi,

Have you "Filed Affidavit-of-support" for your Mother-In-Law and used the "Web Drop Box Service" at TTS in INDIA? (Or) visited the Consulate for the Visa?

Any info. related would be appreciated.
