I called VSC about my Second FP Notice. They said they have a new rule in place saying it takes 19 months for I-485 and FP also expires only after 19 months. She said my FP has not expired.

I am confused now what exactly this means.

My FP 03/14/02

well,

i don't believe what the officer said, but i really hope it's true then maybe we could save the 2nd FP!!

What's interesting????????????????????????????????

It would be better if you have appropriate message title than important news, interesting news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To me its intersting and stupid.
Just because now processing takes 19 months , finger prints will not expire until 19 months.

Is there any logic in that? Can't they make a rule instead that finger prints never expire?

Finger prints never expire. Finger print report expire after 15 months. Best solution is they can save finger prints. I remember someone in this forum mentioned that BCIS cannot save finger print but at the same time I heard they save finger print at Border crossing...........

I do understand that finger prints never expire but I guess my point was that just because processing now takes 19 months finger print REPORT expires in 19 months too. So if processing time is 24 months, they will say finger print REPORT will expire in 24 months.

What kind of logic is that? They can simply say finger print REPORT is valid til processing is complete just like medical report.

guys i dont believe that news at all, they are getting more harder on checking and so there is not way they gone make that rule, as they would deffinately would wann check for sure before the pr is isssued,
