I reside in edmonton, Alberta. II applied for permanent resident in May,2001 as a skilled worker and just got a letter from them on the 5th of February saying I need an interview in Seattle so my file will have to betransfFereded from Buffalo to Seattle.They also sent a medical forms and police report form and said I should do the medical examination(test) when I get the date for the interview and that they have put my file on a queue for onward delivery to Seattle.
Pleasease advise me on the possible time for the interview and If I should apply for an American Visa now as I am from Africa. Also like how long more would it take for me to get the Landing papers.

1 more information. My brother in London just got his landing papers. Is it advisable for him to come and land now in Canada for me to get the 5 points and can this cause waiver of interview?

You need to send in a copy of your brothers landing papers to Seattle. You will get your extra bonus points..As far as interview being waived, I am not sure about that. But you should get your bonus points.
