Interview with a judge (instead of written test)

Hi all, I was wondering if anybody had an interview with a citizenship judge instead of taking a written test?

When I called to inquire about the status of my application, the call center personnel hinted that I might have an interview instead of a written test.

Anyway, I would appreciate it if anybody can shed some lights. Thanks.

The interview to a judge comes when they are not sure about your verifiable residency in Canada or do u work in US or something .The judge will ask you to get your proof of all residency and taxes to prove that you are eligible for citizenship ..

Thanks... I guess the call center person said something about I will chat with a judge for an hour and he will ask those questions that one would normally take in the written test ORALLY... to prove that I am proficient in English or French. Has this happened to anybody?

Now, if the interview with a judge is about my residency, does that happen before I take the written test, or after I take the written test? Also, they will have to send me a letter requesting for those documents, right?

Thanks in advance.

Wait for your letter for your interview with the judge. It would have all details that would be required fo you ..

Hearing w/ a Citizenship Judge

My girlfriend also received a notice to appear at a hearing with an immigration judge. She has never taken a written test of citizenship. The notice asks her to bring ID's, Resident Card and travel documents. What do you think the government is getting at?
