Hi, everybody. This is so unfortunate, but it happened. I got married on (I was illegal at that time) 02-04-2004 applied for adjustment of status on 06-02-2005, got invitation on interview on 08-02-2006.
At interview everything went very good at first, officer asked questions at random and we easily answer them. It looked like hi was satisfied and after that hi asked for our id’s. My wife id hade address different from mine (I quested she never changed it and I didn’t think that it was important we lived together and old address did not mater before). All of the sudden officer got very suspicious and asked me to wait outside. He called me back and asked few questions after I answer them he said to go back outside, he called me back again than He start talking about me and my wife that we should told him that marriage is fake – this way I can go back to my life and wait for amnesty and my wife won’t have to face charges in court, of cause we refused. It looked that he got mad at us. He said he will send our case into investigation of fraud department. And that we will be facing charges in court for fraud marriage. Attention all questions were answered correctly, only thing is different address. Marriage I have is real, we live together and love each other, she is student in law school, I finished one back home, same age, same color. I don’t know what happened there. My wife in tears, I waited 3 month no response from Immigration.
Has anyone been thru investigation? Any help any thing will help please!!!!
