Interview Waived for me.

Hi,
Just got a letter that i have been waived an interview. I had applied in Apr 05, and my case was transferred from Buffalo to new york two weeks back.

I dont even know what this interview waiver is , as i am pretty new to this process.Can anyone help me with this.

Also, I have been asked to do medicals, submit proof of funds and proof of status in US.

I had one question as far as proof of funds...

I am only landing in Canada ( one person ), so how much will i have to show..What if you dont have the required funds to show ? Also, i have a house on which i am paying mortgage , can that also be used to show as an asset including the cars etc..

If anyone can please provide me any input that will be very very helpful.

If you recevied letter saying Interview waived, then it means you will not be called for Interview and your application is almost complete pending medical. You will be soon getting letter regarding medical and when that is done you will get another letter requesting to send your passport.

Now regarding finances, for a single person, i think it is enough if you show around $25K. Hope that helps

Its not 25K for single person thats incorrect, of course the more you show could be considered beneficial however the requirements are outlined in this link.
