I had a successful interview today at the Dallas office.

my interview was scheduled for 11:10 am. the interviews were running way behind schedule. I was called in at 12:30 PM and was the officers last interview for the day.

at the interview the officer asked for my DL,SS card and green card.

he did not ask about my past addresses, employers etc.did not ask about speeding tickets etc.

the INS asked me to being selective service documents but the officer waived these at the interview

the officer breezed through the questions-communist?,terrorist?drug/alcohol issues etc..

he asked if i'd been arrested or been in jail.

i was given the std recommended for naturalization document
the officer gave me a std response that i should receive my oath ceremony schedule in the next 90 days

it appears that the INS is changing or is in the process of changing oath ceremonies in the DFW area.replacing multiple smaller ceremonies with fewer larger ceremonies.
since i live in collin county my ceremony might be in sherman!

many thanks to everyone whos posted on the forum!!

Congrats! DFW_BR.

Did they ask for tax returns?

Is the list of 100 questions enough for the history test?

Do I need to take selective services letter? (I was more than 26 when I got my GC).

I too live in collin county. How often do they have oath cermonies in Sherman?

Thanks.

the officer asked me if i had been filing taxes regularly.but he (or the interview letter)did not ask me for past tax returns

the list of 100 questions is enough-he asked me for the address of the white house.i didnt know/remember

my interview letter asked for doumentation from selective services but the officer didnt ask for it.

re:oath ceremonies in sherman, i dont know what the schedule is
ive looked online but have been unable to find a website that mentions or gives the schedule for oath ceremonies in sherman

im guessing sherman has a couple of judicial ceremonies a month

good luck to all

Dallas Citizenship Ceremonies

This is what I found on the web ....

Citizenship Ceremonies:
The Dallas District has been given the authority by the courts to hold Administrative Ceremonies. This office conducts two to four ceremonies on Saturdays, and if the applicant is disabled, will hold an Administrative Ceremony in the applicant's home. We also conduct Judicial Ceremonies in Amarillo, Dallas, Fort Worth, Lubbock, Sherman, Tyler, and Wichita Falls.

Thanks fitness for this information, I think I will print it out and take it with me to the INS considering it has been 6 months since my name check was completed and approved and still no oath.

they wont have the excuse of "well sir we only do ceremonies once a year" or something like that. Its like you have to back them in the corner before they do thier job or realize thier mistakes!
