so I had my interview today. It went good, no weird questions. We got sworn in, then the IO started with the questions towards my husband (USC) about 8 of them. She asked for my passports and then asked me about 4 questions about our relationship and then about 10 of the yes or no questions. After she asked for pics, we gave her 3 albums, she scanned the pics and took 3. The only documents she asked for was our joint assets .She then asked 2 questions about the co-sponser and then she wrote in my passport- " interviewed 4/6/2009. A#...... pending: I485 Adjustment of status" She then said you will receive my decision in the mail within a couple of weeks. What do you think that means. I'm not worried now because it seem to have went smooth to us, but should I be worried? does that mean STOKES. She gave no indication to her decision. Her demeanor and facial expression was hard to read. Please give me your thoughts.

First of all congratulations on a smooth interview.
My thought would be that, since she did not ask you to mail anything to them or anything that you failed to bring that day, then you shOuld be fine, otherwise an REF will come in the mail.
I have heard that in some districts, they will just write pending till your Security clearance is completed then your case will change to approved and you will get the card.
Some will be polite to tell you that, and others will not say a word, and just make a note on your passport like they did to yours.
So do not worry and start celebrating......" WELCOME TO THE GREAT USA"....

What do you think in The case of my wife and me where she wrote the same thing on shrympie's passport “interviewed 4/6/2009. A#...... pending: I485 Adjustment of status and the officer ‘s name, but with the difference that she handed me a note stating the fallowing.

Your case is being held for file review in order to prepare a decision. You will be advised by mail as to a decision on your application. No additional information is necessary from you at this time, however, if upon further review, additional information or evidence is required, you will receive a notice in the mail. Please respond to any requests in a timely manner. Failure to do so will result in denial of your application. Please allow 60 days from today's date before making an inquiry on your case

She did said that any decision will be written you by mail.

I am thinking that what is keeping you guys approval is your security clearance, remeber we all have to be cleared each time we apply for change in status and do finger printing.
usually, one's interview was always scheduled after the clearance, but to maximize time i guess they just went ahead and did it.
So I would say the same thing, if they need anything from you, they would have told you there, and if not you will get an REF withing 2 weeks after interview, but I really doubt that is the case in both of your scenerious, but then again I could be wrong.
I still think its the security clearance holding. If you are really worried, I'll say call USCIS and they will tell you what the hold up is. Sometime ones clearnce comes up a day or so ater interview and they have not checked the update to send you the card, so calling usually does help in some cases.
N/B; I use to call 2x a week, and will get updates even before its posted online or they send it in the mail. Thats how nervous I was, so i totaly understand you guys worries.
So far its looking good for both of you, I must say.

Brother i think I am the one to give you the greatest impression for your life first of all you had your interview today and didn't get any note stating why your case is pending, But I want to proof you that a note doesn't make a differnce
go the thread below

http://forums.immigration.com/showthread.php?t=294482

And look for post 20-25 and beyon and look for bluesky and Ilovethe80's experiences they didn't received and note and both of her cases were different. Bluesky and ilovethe80's had their cases pending like us and the officer wrote a note on the passport just like our the samething. bluesky got her approval letter 4 to 5 days if I am not wrong after she left the interview with not decision and Ilovethe80's a month after. in your case you didn't get a note but if you see their cases they got approved. At some point i thought that receiving a note were going to be worse because they didn't received a note and got approved and my interview was the 31th and until today around 1:30 pm I was very worry but not until that time whenI went to check the mail Box and I got the notice that I was approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YEa You should be fine BRO!!!!

I love you all guys!!!!

Thats exactly what i said....lol.
some immigration officers just swell in the pleasure of making you nervous and see you least excited. Remeber, they have numerous applicants like you for the rest of the day and weeks, and months and years.... what a "boring fun"......lol
So it is well. Worry no more, fellas.

Hey thanks,I have been reading their posts and yours, I guess I just didn't get the begining of their story, I thought I read in their post that they own said pending for further review, I'll read it again. Thanks for the links. And I'm a girl;). Congratulations,I knew you were good.

Godisgoodtome

You are excatly on the point

I think it would be very boring for them to Just say approved.... Approved,.... Etc.

That what I was thinking in their mind is like, let's have some applicant worry some time hahaha and have some fun........

Fun for them but not for us hahaha!!!

We were killing our mind for the time that Approval notice was in the Way.

Shrympie Godisgoodtome is right!! it just to wait a little bit and you wi ll be good in my thought I think you are in a good position as well.

well let her get her GC in the mail first and then we can start fighting for who's love she will go for. I think it will me mine....Lol.

Some of the less experienced officers don't have authority to actually approve the case. They can only recommend for approval, and then a supervisor has to look over the details and approve (or reject!) it.
