Interview Today 11-8 (S. Cali)- Advice ??

Finish my interview but left empty handed (no approval stamp, signature or anything). The official satated that everything was fine and that we should receive a letter after the supervisor approves the file. I'm worried.


I had my initial interview today for Adjustment of Status. My wife (US Citizen) and I were asked the normal questions. When and where were your married, where do you live, how did you meet and finnally for supporting evidence (Joint financial, insuranace and photos). At the end she said everything looks well but I need my supervisor approval. You will receive a letter in two to three weeks. She did NOT ask me for my I-94 or passport...I thought they were suppose to stamp the passport. I'm worried.?? :( Advice please!!!

Looks like USCIS is awaiting FBI's clearance on your name check. Hang on there... nothing much you can do. If it takes longer, you can try involving your local congressman.
 
Can you please your time lines?

Please post your time lines as it may hhep others. I agree with ari4u on his observation that you may be stuck with FBI's clearance.

Yeap! so far the same officer is the one who approve the cases not the supervisor, right? Did they even tell you about something the name check or something?

The officer said that they had my report from the FBI and everything looks good. I assume everything is complete becasue she did not say that I needed anything else. Her exact words were " Everything looks good. My supervisor will approve it Wed or Trh (11/9 or 11/10) and you will receive a letter". I asked if I get anything today (right after the interview) and all she said is no, you will receive a letter, but everything looks good.

Should I be worried

If you feel good being worried, then go ahead and try to be worried :p
But you will be all set dude. Dont worry. People are sitting here for long but they are trying to not to be worried. But your officer assured you that his supervisor will approve it. Actually these days getting heavy load of work some DO office bring junior officer to take interview, but s/he has no power to sign or approve the case for this reason they need to wait for sing of his supervisor. Be happy and smile. :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence but after she said that everything was fine I tried to start a little chit chat and asked her how long has she been doing this? She gave me a dry several years and that was it.

We'll see what happens.....

What happens if the case is approved? what happes after the interview?
Do you get any proof immediatly after the interview??
Don't you get your passport stamped? or do you just receive a letter?
 
some places they have stopped stamping passposts if i were u i would just keep my eye on my email from cris an approval message goodluck.
