Interview to Oath time line

I posted this in the Sacramento thread, but didn't get anothing.

Would I be correct that commonly (special events etc left out) one can assume about 3 weeks between the two?

This is what I mostly take away from time lines, if everything runs smoothly.

I am not looking for exceptions here, more the common time period

Thanks

1 week to 2 months is the range I have seen (although there are some exceptions).

If you ask for name change (as in my case), it depends on judicial oath schedule in your area - and that might take as low as a week and as much as 6 months!!

Good luck.

The last time i had an infopass. The IO told me whenever the Oath date i set the letter would be out exactly a month before the oath. He told me my oath was scheduled for April 16th thus my letter will go out march 17th. I got the letter march 18th.

When one pass the interview. Recieving the oath letter is based on 2 factors:

1. Your priority date which will fall within their processing timeline { average 7 months}

2. Availability of open space / Population of already approved individual to get the oath done....

my 2 cents.....

PLease can you explain your point #1 of average 7 months? Is that 7 months from the priority date?
thanks

About 3.5 months in my case...

Have not gotten the oath letter, but the IO on the phone informed me that the letter has gone out and that I am scheduled for May 6th. Yipee! Looking forward to getting the letter in a day or so.

3.5 Weeks in my wife's case and that's because she requested a name change.

Did you call the USCIS customer service # to talk to the IO or did you directly call the DO?

I am in a similar situation with the Oath letter and will need to speak to the IO

Thanks!

Called the USCIS customer service...

I called the USCIS number and got through to the operator and feigned the "I'm afraid my letter is lost in the mail" She kicked me up to an officer and he was able to look everything up...when I was added to the oath queue, date the letter was sent out, date and time of oath.

Give it a shot. I have found this method more useful than infopass.

See timeline below.

Also, I echo disciple's comments. I was able to get regular updates from the IO (800 number) about my case after the interview.
