Hi
I am trying to schedule an interview at Chennai, India consulate to have my h1b stamping and my wife's H4 stamping done. My question is after I fix an appointment can I make CORRECTIONS to the EXISTING APPOINTMENTS petition details (for ex: petition expiry date), add my wife's passport details and still have the existing appointment with its scheduled date valid.

There is a modify/cancel link on the TTS Webpage. If you go through that, the only modification it'll let u do is a date change. So, if u r trying to add a new passport and/or change petition no., you might have to cancel the existing appointment and create a fresh one.
