Interview Scheduled requesting my passport but I can't find it

OK - I'm really stressed out here. Besides from having an arrest in 2007 for a bad check $275 I've been requested to come to my interview with my green card and the passport that I used to enter/exit the country. I've lived here since 2002 and only exited once for a week when I went to Canada. Now, the passport is expired and I can't seem to find it anywhere. How badly will this hold up my naturalization process. In itself I'm not sure it's such a bad deal, but coupled with the arrest - OMG! I can't sleep!

Having taken only one short trip outside the US, your passport is unimportant for the interview. You won't have much of a problem.

Don't worry about it. I also did not have my passport when I went for my interview. I just explained to the IO as soon as the interview began that I did not have my passport on me. If you don't remember the exact dates when you traveled then give your best estimate and then attach a separate piece of paper to the N400 explaining the situation.
