Interview scheduled 16 days before 2nd anniversary

Hi!
Just got a notice for I-485 interview but the date is 16 days before our 2nd wedding anniversary. What kind of green card -temporary or permanent - do USCIS issue when the date is close to the anniversary. Is it strictly over 2 years of marriage to get a permanent one? Well, it costs about $200 to replace the conditional one. Would anyone answer my question, please? Thanks.

Well, in theory, if you get approved on the spot (no delays, no namecheck pending) then you get the conditional green card and have to file I-751 21 months later.
But another poster (Addie) was in the same situation and the IO kindly delayed the approval until after the 2-year anniversary so his wife could get a permanent GC.
If your marriage is clearly genuine (as I'm sure it is) and the IO kind enough, then you could ask him/her.
Otherwise rules say you're gonna get a conditional GC.
