Hi Everyone, Today was my hubby's interview in ATL. We had a very pleasant "conversation" with the IO, who after 15 minutes of jokes and casual conversation, took my husbands I94 and told us "we are all set, you should get your GC in 2 or 3 weeks. if I need anything from you guys, which I doubt, I will send you a letter, we are all set". He then shook our hands and walk us to the door. I noticed that on top of our case file, was a form that he wrote the letter A as in Approved, I hope, follow by "CR6 and my husband's A#. He didn't stamp our passport.... Should I be worried about not stamping the passport? Nothing online has changed since the interview this morning. Thank you in advance for ur usual responses :)

Congrats! ATL was my DO too way back AOS and my IO was nice too! She never stamped my passport and got my GC in the mail in about 2 weeks.

Great!!! Did your status changed online? if so, how long before it changed?
I see that you had your N400 interview today, congrats on passing!! I had mine back in Feb and it was the best feeling ever! My oath ceremony was at the National Archives in Morrow, GA. A little far, I'm in Roswell, but it was worth the trip ;)

Hi! My AOS was almost 4 years ago so I really do not recollect regarding the changes in my status online but you should check it from time to time though. Thanks! We just moved to HI so my oath ceremony will be somewhere in Honolulu.

By the way, how long did u receive the oath letter in the mail after ur interview approval?

It took exactly a month from the day of the interview to the day I got my Oath ceremony letter. The oath was 3 weeks after :)

Does anyone knows how long it takes to see any updates online after the interview? I have see other people in other tracking websites that have already received either an email saying that the card production was ordered or have seen their status changed online. I haven't seen any of them.... I'm starting to get worried :(

I was hoping to go on vacation a month from today but know i don't know if i should by our tickets without having some more confirmation that everything is good.

It might take a couple of days for the online system to be updated. When my wife went for her citizenship interview she was conditionally approved (as long as everything on the application was in order) on a Wednesday and her case was updated to be put in the oath que on Friday morning. My wife and I went to the Baltimore office for her AOS over 3 years ago. The officer told us that she was going to make a recommendation for approval to her supervisor. Of course my reaction was how long was this going to sit on someones desk. She did tell us that they have to say your approval, "Welcome Letter" will come in 30 days, but the officer said in reality a week, and they have to say the card will come in 60 days but in reality two weeks. She was right, we got the approval letters the following week and the card the week after that. We got the online case status update notice email at 11pm that evening saying the case was in card production order. (For some odd reason they are not sent out at the same time the update happens. I have received lockbox notices at 2am.)

There is also no guarantee the case status updates will update like it is supposed to. My I-130 case never made it online automatically, and when it was approved, the status was not updated till about a week after I received the official approval letter in the mail.

Thank you DHLunar. I have some relief in the fact that the IO told us that we should get the card in 2-3 weeks. But you know that when it comes to USCIS there is not a 100% guarantee until you have your papers in your hands. I'm praying we get some updates soon, my husband hasn't been home in 8 years, so I want to surprise him for his bday with a trip back home, and that is exactly a month from today.

I know this might be costly, but you might want to ask the airline if there is any way to change the tickets for a fee.

You also might want to make an INFOPASS appointment with the local USCIS for three weeks from now. If you get the card before then cancel it. If you don't, but got the approval notice then go with the notice and a copy of the trip information and ask for passport stamping. If you haven't gotten the approval notice or received any updates by then then use this appointment to see if there has been any change on the case and if their computers are saying the case is approved then ask for passport stamping.
