I am about to contact my Congress people and wondering if you could share your experiences or direct me to threads that discussed this issue in the past.

I was interviewed on 3/17 even though my Security Clearance was not done, so no decision was made. Someone in Q4 Filers Tracker mentioned similar situation, He was turned away for the same reason without being interviewed.

Normally there are many reasons why you case did not go as suppose to be. Security check is one of them, in my opinion it’s not big problem these days since by May all security checks should be done within 3 months. The Major issue is if your a-file has not been located which could take for ever to find it. In my situation, I am positive it will be the A-file not the security checks since they postponed the interview way early.

are you sure

Are you sure your interview is postponed due to exactly a specific reason?
(How did you learn that it is due to your A file is not ready?):)

I had my interview on 03/17 and was told they could not made a decision since my whole file is not with them. They told me I have to wait.

I have a lot issues in the past when ever I applied for immigration services (green card, work permit, Travel documents etc). I am confidence that is the issue, I hope I am wrong.

I received a call from my local office today at 6:300Am to inform me that my interview on 3/31/09 will be descheduled. I got confused since my interview that was canceled last week had 4/1/2009 date not 3/31/2009. I asked do you mean 4/1/09. The officer stated, no, we just sent you a new letter yesterday for new interview on 3/31/2009. I have not even received this letter yet and they Descheduled again. The officer stated, my FBI check is not in yet and she will schedule the interview as soon as all the required documents are in. I feel better now since it is not the A-file issue. I have reported the issue to my Rep, Senator and Ombudsman. The officer stated she just sent a letter yesterday (that my interview will be on 3/31/2009) as well to my congress women regard her inquiry about my case. IO stated she will send a new letter again to the congress women to let her know about the new development.

How do you guys contact congress men or representative. I am new to this forum. Bare with me if it is already beaten to death.

1. Do you send emails or regualr mail or walk-in or phone?
2. Do they respond immediately?

I sent my case to all of them through regular mail and did a walk-in to my Rep office since it is not far from where I live.
