Interview queue

I sent letters to FL, VP, congressman in July and August for help to find out the status of my N-400 application. I did not get any response from FL but got a letter from the VP saying that his office has forwarded my concerns to Homeland Security. I have not received any response from Homeland Security as of. Just recently, one of the Senator sent me a letter along with a copy of the email his office received from the VS saying that my case is currently in the interview queue waiting for an available interview date. Once an interview date is available, I will be notified, via mail, the date, time, and place for an interview. I called the Senator's office to confirm that my background checks have all been cleared. The lady in the Senator's office who handled my case told me that USCIS would not proceed a case if security checks were not cleared. I hope this is true because my case has been pending for 17 months.

Does anyone happen to have the similar experience? How much time do you wait before you receive the IL? Thanks.

Gen what she said about checks is true but not in all cases. If it is in the queue then you should get the iv letter in a couple of months.

It is usu a good idea to post your DO/ timeline so others from the same area can shed light.

i think after we submitted the N400, our case has been putted in the queue. No matter what regarding to the secrity clearance. that`s the only answer I would have from calling the customer service. Totally useless for calling and waste my cell phone minutes.
