My friend got married to a US citizen and has applied for his immigration through a lawyer. He is waiting to undergo his medical examination by a certified medical doctor before his interview. He was a software professional who got laid off before his marriage. Now he is still looking for a job. He has got an EAD (Employment card) from the INS. Is it necessary for him to be working before his date of interview ? What kind of questions are asked at the interview ? What documents does he have to take along with him for the interview ? As the lawyer has not been too helpful to him, could you suggest what is the procedure after the interview is over ? What forms my friend has to apply for or what he should do prior to his interview and after the interview ?
