Interview problem. Any drawbacks to scheduling infopass often?

At my interview, I was told that I have a "related file" that was created when I originally came to the US, and they need to review it before making a decision.

I was told at infopass appointment that "a case like mine" usually takes much longer than 120 days to adjudicate.

Is there any harm in scheduling an infopass appointment every other week, to make sure I'm not missing mail from INS? Can they get mad at me and delay my case on purpose?

I'm planning to file a lawsuit as soon as my 120 days are up. Is there anything I should be doing in the interim? Write to my officer? Something else???

Please advise!

I don't imagine. While I was in "limbo" waiting for them to schedule my "descheduled" interview, I did an InfoPass every month. My office is 10-15 minutes from the USCIS district office and I'd schedule 12:30 or 1:00pm appointments. Even then, though, going there so often (and standing in line and waiting for your number and then getting only tidbits of information) gets old quickly.

Good luck

Flydog, congats!

Flydog, congrats on becoming a citizen!

And also, THANK YOU. I also scheduled my info pass often, per your advice, after my interview was not approved - every two weeks - and it worked!

It really pays to be persistent. :D
